An Inspired School

OUR STORY

REDDFORD HOUSE IS A PROUD MEMBER OF INSPIRED

Our-School-About-Us-Students-World

Founded by the Inspired team in 2015, the Reddford House schools have been an immediate success in South Africa, with the two first schools opening with over 600 students and the third Reddford School having enjoyed a successful opening in January 2016.

The Reddford model extends beyond the confines of traditional academia to tuition in life and communication skills, equipping children to meet life’s challenges in a globally competitive world.

WELCOME TO REDDFORD

In response to the successes of the founding schools and to meet the growing demand for premium schooling in South Africa, a second brand, Reddford House, was launched in 2014 - Reddford House The Hills in Pretoria and Reddford House Blue Hills in Beaulieu, Johannesburg.

The two schools were later joined by Reddford House Northcliff, which successfully opened its doors in 2016. The Reddford House brand continues to grow and impress, with further expansion planned for 2023.

PHILOSOPHY

OUR INSPIRED EDUCATIONAL APPROACH

The three key pillars that form the Reddford House educational approach are based on lateral thinking, comprehension and innovative application of skills and concepts. Our vibrant teachers are carefully selected for their specialist knowledge, excellent qualifications, outstanding reputations and rapport with students. They are passionate, motivated and strive daily to shape enquiring minds and develop young talent.

Conventional teaching methods are not commonly found at a Reddford House school. Our educational approach extends beyond the confines of traditional academia to tuition in life and communication skills, study methods and time management. Reddford House is committed to inspiring education in an exciting and creative manner. It is vital that our students are adequately equipped to meet life’s challenges in a globally competitive world.

Providing a holistic education to students from one year of age to Grade 12, Reddford House offers subjects in all the eight learning areas of the National Curriculum, with a wide variety of subjects available in Grades 10 to 12.

Reddford House is affiliated to the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) with Grade 12s writing the IEB National Senior Certificate examinations.

Fully committed to academic excellence, Reddford House students are motivated, stimulated and extended to meet the highest academic expectations. Teachers are readily available to offer individual tutorial support.

Complementing the excellent academic education provided, Reddford House students have the ideal opportunity to become an influential part of the enriching world of the arts. A vibrant music, dance and drama programme is on offer. The curriculum from Stage 5 to Grade 9, includes Arts and Culture which features creative movement, art, drama and music.

Drama
Drama enhances our students’ self-confidence, self-esteem, self-assurance, communication skills and creativity, empowering each student with the ability to express him or herself fully, to communicate freely and interact with confidence.

Music
Specialist music teachers provide instrumental tuition in a variety of musical instruments, including string instruments, brass, piano and percussion.

Dance
Students are encouraged to embrace dance and creative movement as a way of expressing their creativity.

Visual Arts and Design
Students are exposed to different aspects of the visual arts. Options include; design, drawing, painting and sculpting. Film, electronic and digital media, as possible clubs and societies, may be on offer.

Physical Education lessons are presented to all students weekly throughout the school day as part of the Life Skills curriculum. Reddford House encourages students to be involved in a sport of their choice on both competitive and non-competitive levels. We believe sport plays a major role in the personal and social values that students need to achieve success. Sporting teams are entered into local and friendly leagues. Students are transported where possible by bus, under supervision, to and from sporting events and facilities.
